Get to Know Us
The Tarleton Gay/Straight Alliance was founded in 2011 after the closing of the student group known as Texans Promoting Tolerance. The GSA had a strongly dedicated founding membership, which has encouraged the group to grow year after year.

In 2012 the GSA began to partner often with the Office of Diversity and maintained intersections with many of their programs.

In 2014, the GSA first hosted the Vagina Monologues, and has maintained the tradition, giving back to Cross Timbers Family Services each year with the funds raised.

Also in 2014, the GSA began hosting the Tarleton PRIDE festival, as well as 2nd Chance Prom. Each event is student body focused and designed to encourage all students to participate.
